Richard D. Kimmel, DO, FACOS, FCCP
Dr. Kimmel is a board certified Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeon who has been in private practice in South Florida since 1991. Having treated innumerable patients for the adverse effects of smoking, he has now committed to addressing the cause of their problems by enabling them to quit smoking forever. Dr. Kimmel is certified in both the low level laser and the Matrix smoking cessation program techniques.
Dr. Kimmel is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians, a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, a Clinical Investigator with the NIH, an Affiliate Member of the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center of the University of South Florida, and an Assistant Clinical Instructor in Surgery at the Nova-Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Davie, Florida. Dr Kimmel is the past Chairman of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery Discipline, and was a member of the Board of Governors of the ACOS.
Julie Foster, RN
Ms. Foster has worked with Dr. Kimmel since 1994 and is responsible for the clinical aspects of his office practice. She is certified in both the low level laser and the Matrix smoking cessation program techniques. At the Cold Laser Therapy Center, Ms. Foster is fully involved in the application of the laser and the implementation of the smoking cessation program.
